Stick down the strip end, 25 cm long, to the tampon end. Unfold
the strip and wrap the barrel with it approximately for 7/8 of the
height in such way as sticky part of the plaster be out and the
edges of the plaster overlap while light wrapping.
Repeat the same procedure using the second tampon. Lay aside
prepared barrels-tampons onto clean dry surface.
Glue the ears:
1.Carefully but thoroughly wipe out Doberman’s
ears with a napkin wetted with hydrogen dioxide: it cleans the
soft skin without depriving of fat. Carefully remove as much skin
sloughs as possible proving that Doberman puppy’s ears have not
still healed but you are determined to paste but be careful not to
damage the edge to prevent it from bleeding.
2.Now wipe the ears with dry paper napkin.
3.If the edges have not still healed, carefully coat them
with a little of Neosporin ointment. It tends to soften the edge
therefore the ear edge won’t be constricted and the ear won’t
shrink. It is necessary that even clean strip of scar tissue may
form along the ear trimming line because it will help the ear to
stand upright when the plaster will be removed.
4. Carefully take the ear by its point and pull it up
holding it extended during all the process of gluing.
5. Insert a prepared tampon into Doberman’s concha of
auricle - all the way to the bottom of the auricle but without
using force.
6. Glue the sticky part of the tampon to the inner side of
the ear.
7.Take a strip of plaster, 25 cm long, paste one end to the
tampon at the ear base and paste the base along ear bending (
outside-in) –the right ear of Doberman –contraclockwise
and the left one-clockwise-so that the ear may not be twisted or
strangulated but be in a natural position.
We careful and don’t roll Doberman’s ear too tightly and do not
draw on the plaster to hard. Do remember that the ears are glued
in order the ears may stand on their own; the more possibility for
the ear to work to hold itself without help the better.
Paste
the ear base when it is elevated! Wrap the plaster
around the ear base two times at the very least and then gradually
up wrap the ear spirally so as the every turn of the plaster
partially should overlay the preceding layer until all the strip
is applied.
Holding the ear point together with the tampon, carefully pull in
the same direction in which you were gluing.
